On the concert stage, Christine has sung works ranging from Bach's St. Matthew Passion to Robert Ray's Gospel Mass. She appears as a frequent soloist with the Festival Chorus and Orchestra of Evanston where she has sung the alto solos in Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis, the Mozart Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Handel’s Messiah. In 2027, she will be the featured soloist for the Handel Week Festival in Oak Park, Illinois.

Mezzo-soprano Christine Ebeling Mando has performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Opera on the James, Florentine Opera, Opera Festival of Chicago, MiOpera, Painted Sky Opera, the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, and the Bay View Music Festival where she won the 2018 Adrian Boyer Aria Competition. 

 

The 2025-2026 season saw her debut as Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly in her company debut with Opera on the James, as well as competing as a semi-finalist in the Saengerbund Awards celebrating artists who excel in German vocal music. She made her Sinfonia da Camera debut as the alto soloist in the Mozart Requiem and Beethoven Op. 80 Choral Fantasy in March 2025. The season also saw her competing in the semi-finals of the 37th Annual Annapolis Opera Vocal Competition.

Christine was a 2025 recipient of a Special Projects Grant from the Evanston Arts Council to present Elgar’s Op. 37 Sea Pictures in recital. In 2023 she was one of eleven semi-finalists in the Vincenzo Bellini International Bel Canto Competition in Vendôme, France celebrating singers who excel in the bel canto repertoire of Bellini.

 

Christine’s other operatic roles include Dorabella in Cosi fan Tutte, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Angelina in La Cenerentola, Mercedes in Carmen, Didymus in Handel’s Theodora, Maurya in Vaughan William’s Riders to the Sea, Mother Goose in The Rake’s Progress, and Ursule in Béatrice et Bénédict.
